Learning Strategies
Learning Strategies is designed to empower students to be more successful in general content classes. The course will combine a strategy intervention approach with tutorial assistance. Recent research has shown that students benefit from learning techniques, principles, and rules that enable them to solve problems and complete tasks independently. Task specific learning strategies include, but are not limited to, comprehending textbooks, note taking, listening to lectures, test taking, writing papers, and assignment completion. The content of this course is intended to prepare students to successfully transition into the academic life of a high school student.
