Student Parking Permits

Preferred Parking Permits

There are 49 spaces in Parking Lot 1 that are designated for Seniors and Juniors opting to purchase a Student Preferred Parking Permit.

Preferred Parking Permits are valid for ONE Trimester only, at a cost of $30 per Trimester.

Students who are interested in purchasing a Preferred Parking Permit are required to register their interest PRIOR to the start of each Trimester (see below). Seniors and Juniors may apply for a permit, however, priority will be given to Senior students. A lottery system will be administered if there are more than 49 students interested in purchasing a Preferred Parking Permit.

*All funds raised from Preferred Parking Permits will go to ASB for use on student activities.

2018-19 Trimester 1 Interest List - Now Open

The Interest List for 2018-19 Trimester 1 Preferred Parking is now open

Seniors and Juniors should check their school loop email on Friday, August 10th to register their interest.

The Interest List will close at 12pm on Friday, August 17th.

Students selected from the lottery will be notified via school loop email on Friday, August 17th (pm). These students will have ONE week to submit valid paperwork/payment to receive a permit (deadline for submission - Tuesday, August 28th (3pm).

Any remaining spaces can be purchased from the first day of school (Wednesday, August 29th), on a first come, first serve basis (Seniors and Juniors). Students must provide VALID paperwork and payment to purchase a permit.

Please contact Mrs. Jenni Watson in the Administration Office with any questions (

Students must present the following paperwork in order to obtain a Preferred Parking Permit:

  • A valid DMV California vehicle registration in the student or parent/guardian’s name.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Valid Proof of Insurance.
  • Completed parking registration forms (available in the Administration Office).
  • Replacement permits are $5.

Payment can be made via cash, card, or check, made payable to "SCHS ASB".

Permits are not transferable and can only be used on the car and by the student to whom it is issued. It is the responsibility of the student to properly display the permit by hanging it on the rearview mirror.

Students who purchase a permit should know it does not guarantee a specific parking space. It simply means if a space in the designated student lot is available, you have the right to park there.

Driving a Different Vehicle

If students drive a vehicle not registered with the office, you must sign in at the Administration Office when you arrive on campus. You may only sign in for five days – if you need to park a different car on campus longer than that, you must complete the regular paperwork for a second parking permit.
