TRI 3 Senior Preferred Parking
Seniors interested in purchasing a Trimester 3 Preferred Parking Pass will have an opportunity to complete an interest form starting February 24th. Please make sure to check your email if you are interested in purchasing a parking permit. Seniors who purchased a Gold Parking Permit for Tri 2 will need to return permits to Jocelyn South in the Finance Office by Thursday, March 9th. More information about purchasing your Tri 3 parking permit will be coming soon. Please see Jenni Watson in the main office for questions.
Effective Tuesday November 8th, Parking Lot 1 will be designated as "Senior Preferred Parking". Seniors who have purchased a parking permit via the lottery system will be allowed to park in one of the 49 designated spaces.
Students must present the following in order to obtain a parking permit:
- A valid DMV California vehicle registration in the student or parent/guardian’s name.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Current SCHS school identification card.
- Completed parking registration forms (available on-line or in the administrative offices).
- The initial parking permit is free, unless Senior student opts to purchase a paid permit for Parking Lot 1.
- Replacement permits are $5.
Permits are not transferable and can only be used on the car and by the student to whom it is issued. It is the responsibility of the student to properly display the permit by hanging it on the rearview mirror.
Parking spaces are filled on a first come first served basis. Students who have a permit should know it does not guarantee a specific parking space. It simply means if a space in the designated student lot is available, you have the right to park there.
Optional Paid/Reserved Parking for Seniors
There are 49 spaces in Parking Lot 1 that will be designated for 12th grade students opting to purchase a Gold Parking Permit. This designated parking permit ensures parking in Lot 1, but does not designate a specific parking space in Lot 1, spaces are filled on a first come first served basis.
Cost: Parking Permits cost $50 for a designated trimester: Fall, Winter, and Spring.
Lottery: A lottery will be administered if there are more than 49 students interested in purchasing a Gold Parking Permit for Lot 1.
*All funds raised from the reserved parking sales for seniors will go to ASB to use on student activities.
Driving a Different Vehicle
If students drive a vehicle not registered with the office, you must sign in at the Assistant Principal’s Office when you arrive on campus. You may only sign in for five days – if you need to park a different car on campus longer than that, you must complete the regular paperwork for a second parking permit.
