Community Service

Requirements, Ideas, and Form

All CUSD high school students are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service as stated in Board Policy 5122 as a graduation requirement. Students may begin completing community service hours during the summer after 8th grade promotion. Community service forms can be printed from the link below or picked up in the Registrar’s Office. When hours are completed, return the form to the Registrar’s Office with an attached business card or a letter from the service organization on their letterhead. Your hours will then be recorded.

Community service can be completed by working without pay for a non-profit organization that benefits your fellow man, the environment, or the animal kingdom. If you are paid for a service, it is not considered community service.  Fundraising for a team is also not considered community service.
