Greetings all! My name is Amanda Sass and I am thrilled to have joined the Sage Creek family this year. I am on the Student Support Services team and am working with this years' incoming freshman class of 2020. In addition, I am also teaching English Skills, Math Skills, and Directed Studies, to further assist student in achieving both academic and organizational success.
I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelors' of Science in Organizational Leadership. I went on to pursue mild/moderate as well as moderate/severe teaching credentials. I also hold a M.A. in Special Education and have a great deal of passion and commitment to my job.
I spent the last 5 years working for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, where I built and developed their Transition Program, forming long-lasting partnerships with local proprietors and cultivating professional collaborations with post-secondary programs in LA county, in order to further the goals of my students.
Change can be a bit of a challenge, but it is one that I always embrace and I am so happy to have landed at Sage Creek High School.
Just a bit about me: I love to write and contemplate ideas difficult to understand, I take excessive amounts of photos wherever I go (but with my manual camera, not a phone...most of the time!), I love to travel, I quite enjoy fine chocolate, and I have seven different ways to brew my coffee in the morning.
