¡Hola! I'm Analía Loevenguth but my students know me as "Profe." I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved with my family to Encinitas in the 5th grade. I graduated from Torrey Pines High School knowing two things: I would never leave San Diego and that I was going to work and study to become a teacher. While attending Cal State San Marcos, I held various positions in different San Diego districts. My experience in coaching field hockey and gymnastics since I was 18 years old has molded the type of leader that I have become in the classroom. I portray to my students what I have learned and observed from living in Argentina for half of my life and also traveling to nine Latin American countries. I have begun a new tradition where every time that I travel to a Latin country, I put together in a movie format a collage of pictures and videos of what I saw and learned. In 2015 I married Nick Loevenguth, a firefighter in Orange County and in 2016 we had our first baby boy, Chase.
