Dr. Moezzi

About me

Hello, my name is Saied Moezzi and I am a Computer Science professional with many years of experience. I hold Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan and a B.S. degree Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas.


My areas of expertise include: Web And Mobile Application Development, and Computer Vision & AI. I have many research publications, and was awarded two patents in digital media for conceptualization and development of “Immersive Video” when I was a member of the UCSD’s Visual Computing Lab. I was also awarded a Social Network based patent when I was a Mobile Application developer and innovator at Intuit as a member of the New Business Initiative team (

I will be teaching two computer science courses this year. The first course, Computer Science Principles, introduces the foundational concepts of computer science and explore how computing and technology can impact the world. The second course, Introduction to Computer Programming, emphasizes object-oriented and imperative problem solving.

I am looking forward to getting to know all my students, and being part of their learning journey.
