About me:

Hi there!

I am so thankful and honored to be a part of the Bobcat nation this year. Curiosity and intentionality are two of my favorite character traits, and I hope to instill and cultivate both of these in myself, as well as my students, every day.

My greatest desire is to teach my students how to communicate their thoughts authentically and effectively, since that skill is necessary in every profession, relationship, and season of life. We will achieve this goal through consistent reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We will take a look at how other authors have communicated their thoughts, and then we will communicate our own.

Enough with the philosophy, a bit about me. I taught previously at La Jolla High School. I am a proud graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University, where I received my BA in journalism, and my master's degree in education. I live in Vista, California with my husband, Tyler. I enjoy living an active lifestyle, curling up with a good book, watching The Lord of the Rings or The Office repeatedly, and swap meets.
